Tè - Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse was a revolutionary French artist celebrated for his bold use of color, expressive forms, and inventive compositions. Born in 1869, Matisse initially studied law before turning to painting in his twenties, eventually becoming one of the most influential figures in modern art. A leading voice in the Fauvist movement, he broke away from traditional artistic conventions and developed a signature style defined by vibrant palettes, fluid shapes, and a masterful sense of harmony.

Throughout his prolific career, Matisse explored a wide range of mediums including painting, drawing, printmaking, and his iconic paper cut outs. His work often centered on themes of joy, beauty, and the human figure, with famous pieces such as The Dance, Blue Nude, and Woman with a Hat housed in world renowned museums like MoMA, the Tate, and Centre Pompidou. Even in his later years, while confined to a wheelchair, Matisse continued to create with an astonishing energy and vision that has influenced generations of artists and designers.
