The story

After rescuing a turtle, the fisherman Urashima Taro is carried beneath the sea to the Dragon Palace, where Princess Otohime welcomes him. What feels like a short stay lasts for generations on land. He returns to an unfamiliar shore, opens the forbidden tamatebako and releases the years that have passed.

Made with a traceable point of view

Old stories. Studied references. New compositions.

01
The story is established first

We identify the narrative moments that carry the myth, including the ending, before an image brief is written.

02
Historical visual references calibrate the treatment

Printmaking, figure, creature, costume and movement references guide the visual language without copying a single source artwork.

03
Every artwork is a new composition

The finished prints are generated and edited for this collection, then visually reviewed as individual works and as a set.

04
The product page keeps the record

Each listing names the story, scene and series so the image can be collected with its context intact.

“The quality of the print exceeded my expectations. Extremely high quality.”

Before you choose

The practical details

Do I need to buy a complete story?

No. Every scene is made to work as a standalone artwork. You can begin with one, pair two moments or build the series over time.

What formats are available?

Products are available as art prints, framed prints and framed canvas, with the exact sizes and finishes shown on each product page.

How does the multi-artwork saving work?

Add any three artworks to your basket and 15% is applied automatically. The prints do not need to come from the same story.

Are these reproductions of historical prints?

No. They are new compositions informed by the story and studied historical references. Product descriptions identify the scene and explain the collection context.
