Beschreibung
Uig’s sheltered bay is defined by blue water, a distant headland and scattered white buildings along the shore, with the surrounding view held in soft natural light.
The inlet curves between green slopes, with a small settlement set close to the water. A boat sits within the bay, while another vessel appears farther out against the pale horizon. A white lighthouse stands on the grassy rise at left. Low cloud bands cross the sky, leaving the water and headland in clear view. The hills descend gently towards the shoreline, framing the open water without enclosing it.
The combination of harbour, settlement and open sea gives Uig a clear sense of arrival on Skye. The small boats suggest the working water that remains part of life around the bay, while the lighthouse marks the edge of the shore. Visitors may remember looking across to the opposite headland before continuing along the island’s coast.
