Wide cloud sits above pale rooflines, with green slopes enclosing the town; Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, occupies the far end of this broad valley view.
Tonypandy lies in Rhondda Cynon Taf, within the Rhondda Valley in Wales. From Mynydd Dinas, the view crosses Penygraig and Trealaw towards the town. These communities follow the lower ground between rising hills, giving the valley its close-set pattern. Their linked streets place Tonypandy within a wider chain of settlements along the valley.
Rows of pale roofs follow the valley floor, with green hills rising on either side. A grassy, rocky slope fills the foreground, leading the eye from the near hillside to the far end of the settlement. Warm roof colours stand against the green slopes and soft cloud cover. The town and its neighbours occupy one continuous valley scene.
