Beschreibung
St Alban's Tower rises above the street in a close architectural view, its pale stonework lending the scene a stately mood; the stonework reaches high above the street.
The tower’s vertical lines climb past pointed windows to a narrow spire. Buttresses frame the lower walls, while trees and neighbouring buildings edge the view. Blue sky and pale clouds open behind the upper section. The pointed openings repeat up the face of the tower, above the recessed entrance.
The close perspective gives St Alban's Tower a strong presence within its town setting. Visitors may remember looking up from near the base, where the doorway and stone details make the building feel especially tall. St Alban's Tower remains the defining feature of this view. Its stone surfaces and pointed openings connect the street below with the taller outline above the surrounding buildings.
