Beschreibung
Sgurr a' Chaorachain carries a stony ridge above green Highland slopes, with pale rock slabs, a narrow crest and overlapping blue hills reaching towards the distant horizon.
A ridge approach leads towards Sgurr a' Chaorachain along a ridge rather than showing a distant isolated peak. That close outlook brings the rock underfoot into the same view as the surrounding hills. The small variations in the skyline and the scattered pale slabs give the climb its sense of height and changing ground.
Angular grey blocks cover the nearest ground, broken by tufts of short grass. Beyond them, a broad shoulder narrows to a pointed ridge. Long diagonal bands of exposed stone stripe its right face, with shadow collecting below the crest and lighter turf across the upper slopes.
