Beschreibung
River Teviot in the Scottish Borders reflects a green and gold tree line, with quiet blue water, grassy banks and shaded pine branches beneath the soft clouds of late summer.
The largest tributary within the Tweed catchment flows northeast through the Scottish Borders, passing Hawick before joining the Tweed near Kelso. Its valley is known as Teviotdale, linking an upland source with the lower agricultural country around the river junction.
The River Teviot widens across the foreground into a smooth blue surface. Tall trees on the opposite bank cast long green reflections, broken by small pale ripples. Shrubs line the nearer right edge, beneath an overhanging pine branch. Low hills and hedged pasture appear beyond the foliage, with cream cloud suggesting a clear afternoon as summer begins to soften.
