Beschreibung
River Snizort on Highland Skye runs through rocky green banks below an old stone arch, with white birch trunks and small foaming ledges beneath distant jagged hills in soft summer light.
River Snizort drains hills east of Bracadale before entering Loch Snizort on Skye. The receiving sea loch separates Waternish from Trotternish and opens towards the Lower Minch. This links the island’s interior streams with a sheltered western inlet, within a landscape of low grassy valleys and higher mountain ground.
A single low stone arch crosses the river between dense leafy trees. Blue grey water spills over short rocky ledges, with dark boulders projecting from the shallower sections. White birch trunks stand at left above the grassy bank. Beyond the crossing, open green ground leads towards a distant pointed skyline under scattered cream clouds, suggesting a mild summer day along the wooded channel.
