Beschreibung
At Ramsholt Quay, the River Deben holds a loose gathering of moored yachts, their masts rising between a light foreshore and a pale, distant horizon.
A grassy slope runs down to a sandy edge beside the broad river. Sailboats and slender masts are spaced across the water, while the far bank stays low and flat. Bands of cream and pink cloud spread across the sky above the opposite shore.
River Deben at Ramsholt Quay lies less than three miles from the sea at this point. The low far shore and broad water hold the boats and nearby foreshore together in a wide view. For people with a connection to this river, its boats and open banks give the scene a familiar local character.
