Beschreibung
River Brit is captured beside a calm river, where waterside cottages and a lone mooring post give the scene an unhurried, settled mood, with open sky above.
A row of pale cottages follows the left bank, their pitched roofs set above a narrow strip of grass. A wooden post rises from the water near the foreground, while the far bank carries low buildings and trees. Clouds reflect in the broad river.
The bankside buildings show how closely the river runs through the settled area. Those who know River Brit may recognise the quiet waterside outlook, with boats and riverside paths suggested by the mooring point and open bank. The surrounding details keep the view tied to the particular place.
