Beschreibung
Redcar's Beacon turns bands of pink and yellow around a glass tower beside the seafront, where broad promenade steps meet a long pale beach and the North Sea.
Along the town's seafront, the Beacon stands between the buildings and the sand. Its curved exterior rises above low rooftops, while the open frontage leaves a wide view of the North Sea beyond the sandy shore.
In Redcar, pink panels spiral around the glazed shaft, crossing yellow walkways on their way upwards. Cream walls and shallow steps spread out from the base towards the beach. Long paving strips run through the foreground, interrupted by soft mauve shadows. White surf traces the edge of the blue sea on the right, with a low coast visible beyond the tower.
