Beschreibung
A small boat rests on the water below Port Glasgow’s waterfront, giving this riverside view a steady, working-harbour mood with reflections shifting below the far bank.
The church spire stands above a row of town buildings, while a low quay and moored boat cross the middle of the scene. Reflections break into blue and gold across the water. Hills appear faintly beyond the opposite shore, under a sky streaked with pale cloud. Port Glasgow is presented from the water’s edge, with its built waterfront and river view sharing the frame.
Anyone who knows Inverclyde’s Clyde-side towns may recognise the mix of close-set buildings and open water. The boat sits near the quay, anchoring the view to the harbour rather than the distant hills.
