Beschreibung
Pentire opens towards blue Atlantic water, with grassy headlands, dark offshore rock and pale surf beyond a flowered Cornish slope, while broad cream clouds gather over the long sea horizon.
Rounded granite blocks sit among pink heather and clusters of small white flowers. Thin breakers curl around the nearest black rocks, then stretch into pale ribbons across the bay. Beyond the low green promontory, a triangular island cuts into the flat blue line of the ocean.
The coastal outlook from Pentire Point East brings together Pentire Point West, Kelsey Head and The Chick, the offshore rock beside it. Those successive forms give this part of the Newquay coast its particular outline. Open water occupies much of the view, leaving the rough grass and flowering ground as a close, sheltered counterpoint to the Atlantic beyond.
