Beschreibung
Yellow flowers fill the approach to Peckforton Hills, with two pale tracks cutting through the crop towards a wooded ridge that rises gently on the right.
The Peckforton Hills form a wooded ridge above the Cheshire farmland. A lower fringe of scattered trees marks the transition from cultivated ground to the slopes beyond. From this field, the rounded crest remains modest against the sky, with its dark canopy clearly outlined.
Two worn tracks draw together across a grassy strip, their pale earth showing between the green blades. Dense yellow flowers spread to either side, becoming fine bands of colour near the tree line. Rounded cloud masses rise above the ridge, leaving stretches of clear blue between them. The broad field and converging path carry most of the foreground.
