Orion-K, created by Victor Vasarely in 1962, represents the artist's systematic approach to visual perception. Vasarely, often identified as the father of the Op Art movement, utilised a rigorous methodology to explore the relationship between colour, form, and the viewer's optical response. This work consists of a grid of small squares, each containing a smaller square within it. By varying the hues and the contrast between the inner and outer squares, Vasarely creates an illusion of movement and depth on a two-dimensional surface.
