Beschreibung
Lowlandman's Bay on Jura looks across turquoise water towards green fields and a white house, with distant mountain shoulders rising below a wide sky of cream summer clouds.
On Jura's eastern coast, this sheltered indentation lies below the settled farmland around Ardfernal. The rocky promontory of Rubh'an Leim almost closes the bay from the surrounding sound, creating a protected coastal setting distinct from the island's more exposed western shores.
The water at Lowlandman's Bay fills the foreground in deep turquoise, broken by soft silver ripples. Across a narrow strip of rocks and pale sand, green fields climb towards a white house with a slate roof. Blue mountain shoulders rise beyond the low ground on the right. Large cream clouds and clear shadows suggest an expansive summer afternoon.
