Walcot employs a characteristic technique that combines sharp, controlled lines for the architectural elements with looser, more atmospheric marks for the figures and street activity. The composition focuses on the Palladian facade, capturing the rhythmic placement of windows and the central clock tower with a sense of measured balance.
