Loch Achray in Stirling reflects green wooded shores below a blue mountain ridge, with tall near grasses and scattered leafy trees beneath white cloud banks on a bright late summer afternoon.
This small Trossachs loch lies between Katrine and Venachar, around six miles west of Callander. Ben A’an rises above the water, with an ascent leading to its rocky viewpoint. Forest tracks on the southern side connect walking and cycling routes through the surrounding wooded hills.
Loch Achray spreads blue water beyond low green meadows dotted with small leafy trees. A dense woodland point projects from the right, edged by pale rocks and a low grey wall. A blue mountain ridge overlooks dark conifer stands behind the lower leafy canopy. Tall dry grasses and broad white clouds suggest bright afternoon sunshine late in summer.
