Beschreibung
Linhope Spout in Northumberland drops through a mossy rock cleft into a dark pool, with a lone leafy tree, green upland slopes and soft white summer clouds above the falls.
Linhope Spout is an eighteen-metre waterfall in Northumberland National Park’s Breamish Valley area. Water descends a steep rock face into a plunge pool beneath the cascade. The site lies within the International Dark Sky Park, and nearby woodland provides habitat for red squirrels.
A thick white fall occupies the centre of a narrow rocky opening, spreading into foam where it reaches the dark pool. Grey crags rise on either side beneath patches of moss and green grass. A leafy tree leans over the upper right bank. Beyond the cascade, rounded open hills sit under cream clouds, with soft summer light reaching the stream.
