Beschreibung
Levenish is seen from a grassy, rock-fringed slope, where a solitary sea stack gives the quiet stretch of blue water a striking sense of scale.
The foreground drops towards the shore in bands of green, broken by pale stones. A dark, flat-topped stack rises from the sea to the right, while a jagged mountain sits farther away beneath long bands of cloud. Their different shapes set the near and distant parts of the view apart.
This view of Levenish has the stillness of a remote island coast, with open water separating the viewpoint from both rocky forms. Those who know the place can follow the same line from the sloping shore to the sea stack and on towards the mountain beyond.
