Beschreibung
Leaderfoot NSA pairs a sweeping stone viaduct with the river below, giving the Scottish Borders view a measured balance of engineering and open country.
The bridge runs across the middle distance, its repeated arches rising above a bend in the water. Green fields climb on either side, divided by darker hedges and tree lines. Soft clouds gather in a bright blue sky, while a fringe of shrubs frames the valley at the bottom.
Leaderfoot NSA is associated with a crossing where the Tweed valley narrows beneath the viaduct. The scene recalls the view from nearby paths, with the high masonry set against wooded slopes. For someone travelling through the Borders, the bridge and river together provide a recognisable point along the route.
