Beschreibung
Seen from Knocklayd, bright coastal rooftops lie beyond dark woodland, with a low green island stretching across turquoise water under tall banks of white cloud.
The outlook from Knocklayd takes in Ballycastle and Rathlin Island off the north coast. Woodland occupies the lower hillside, while the town gathers beside the water beyond. The island forms a long, low strip, separated from the shore by a wide reach of sea.
Yellow-green grasses sweep diagonally across the foreground, broken by darker clumps on the slope. A dense conifer belt borders the open fields below. Pale roofs cluster around winding roads before the shoreline, where a harbour arm projects into the blue. Cream clouds rise above the island, with thinner streaks crossing the open sky.
