At Kingley Vale, a hollow yew and broad, twisting limbs stand in amber evening light beneath a canopy of dark leaves within a close grove of old trees.
The place note identifies Kingley Vale and describes a hollow yew catching sunlight. That detail is central to this view: the old tree’s thick, irregular trunk and open centre are illuminated among other mature trees.
