Beschreibung
Kerloch’s low stone structure sits on a rocky rise, with distant hills and a broad sky giving the scene a solitary calm, with the open sky keeping the view spacious.
Uneven stones form a small square structure in the middle ground. Heather and scrub cover the foreground slope, while pale hills stretch across the horizon behind it beneath broken cloud.
The scattered rock and open ground place the structure within a wide upland view. Walkers on Kerloch may recognise the exposed slopes and the way distant hills remain visible beyond the rough foreground. The view also leaves room around its main feature, so the foreground remains connected to the more distant ground. The changing light gives the scene a distinct character.
