Beschreibung
Haslingden Halo stands above a rolling green valley, its wide open steel ring balanced on angled legs beside a pale hillside path and a band of russet heather.
Fine metal ribs radiate across the circular canopy, leaving the blue sky visible between them. Three tall supports meet the grassy ground below. Beyond the structure, a scatter of pale roofs fills the lower valley, with enclosed fields climbing towards the distant rounded hills.
The retained photograph identifies Haslingden Halo as the Panopticon above the town. This elevated outlook gives the sculpture plenty of space, setting its thin industrial lines against soft folds of turf and farmland. A quiet path crosses the near slope, while warm red shrubs interrupt the greens at the bottom of the view.
