Beschreibung
Grizedale Forest in Cumbria follows a curved blue-green stream through sunlit trees, with pale stone edging, golden leaves and low ferns beside a quiet woodland path in late-summer light.
Grizedale Forest lies near Hawkshead within the Lake District World Heritage Site. Walking and cycling routes explore its wooded slopes and surrounding fell views. Sculptors have worked in the forest since 1977, creating outdoor works encountered along the trails through more than four thousand acres.
A narrow watercourse bends around a pale gravel bank, its blue-green surface reflecting tall trunks and yellow-green foliage. A low line of squared stones follows the right bank beside an earthy path. Ferns and scattered rocks fill the near ground. Warm light reaches through the full canopy, suggesting the closing weeks of summer in a sheltered woodland hollow.
