Beschreibung
The Great Glen Way passes through a quiet woodland scene, with tall trunks and dappled light creating a sheltered walking mood, with the open sky keeping the view spacious.
Slender trees rise through the composition, their trunks spaced across a gently sloping forest floor. Sunlight reaches patches of grass and low plants, while the path winds between the trees towards the brighter distance.
The close-set woodland gives this section of the Great Glen Way a different character from the open glens nearby. Walkers can imagine moving beneath the canopy as the track bends out of sight among the trees. The view also leaves room around its main feature, so the foreground remains connected to the more distant ground. The changing light gives the scene a distinct character.
