Beschreibung
Filey on the North Yorkshire coast stretches along a broad sandy bay, with pale seafront houses and a curving promenade looking towards the distant outline of Filey Brigg.
A five-mile sweep of golden sand gives Filey its long seaward outlook. The historic promenade runs beside the beach, while Filey Brigg marks the northern side of the bay, providing a recognisable coastal feature beyond the town's North Yorkshire seafront.
Cream houses with projecting bay windows line the higher ground on the left. Below them, a seawall follows the sand, its blue railing echoing the water alongside. White foam curls across the shore towards a low, flat headland. Pink flowers and leafy trees soften the near bank, and the light cloud colours suggest a gentle summer day.
