Beschreibung
Fife Ness on Scotland's eastern Fife coast offers a low rocky seascape, with golden grass and a white cottage facing broad blue water beneath a lightly clouded sky.
The easternmost point of Fife has a lighthouse established in 1975 to replace the final light vessel guarding dangerous offshore rocks. A permanent light could not be built on the hazards themselves, so the present low white building serves navigation from the headland.
At Fife Ness, a plain white cottage stands inside a curving stone enclosure above the sea. A grey lane bends beside the wall through long golden grass and pink flowering plants. Low brown rocks divide shallow coastal inlets beyond, with pale farmland across the far horizon. Bright sunshine and mature grasses suggest late summer, leaving the cottage's gable in cool shade.
