Beschreibung
Ettrick Water catches a low shaft of light between tree-lined banks, its silver reflection widening across the foreground as mist softens the distant hills above the river.
The view along Ettrick Water is held between dark banks thick with trees. Reflected light breaks across the river’s surface, bright near the centre and softer towards the edges. Mist blurs the far reach and the hillside beyond, leaving the water as the clearest path through the scene.
A low sun glows above layered hills and sends a long reflection down the river. Dark branches frame both edges while the hills fall into haze beyond the water. A soft gold sky meets the treetops, and the river leads into mist where its banks converge. This view follows Ettrick Water through its wooded valley.
