This work originates from a desk album by the Qing dynasty court painter Zhang Ruoai. The composition features a delicate arrangement of natural motifs, including bamboo, rock formations, and bats, set against a paper background decorated with gold flecks. The artist employs a refined technique, balancing the organic forms of the flora with the symbolic presence of the bats, which in Chinese culture often represent good fortune and longevity.
