Beschreibung
At Corran, a white lighthouse stands beside still water beneath a sweeping Highland peak, lending the shoreline view a quiet, clear mood in the foreground.
The small white lighthouse and adjoining buildings sit on a low point at the water’s edge. Their pale walls reflect in the calm foreground, while dark rocks line the near shore. Behind them, trees and a broad green mountain rise above the loch, with another ridge receding to the right under soft clouds.
Corran’s meeting of shoreline and steep Highland ground gives this scene its sense of place. The lighthouse anchors the water’s edge, while the mountain beyond it recalls the scale of the landscape around the crossing. The tower’s dark lantern room is clearly visible above its white walls.
