Beschreibung
Corn Du crowns a bright upland view in Wales, where a rainbow crosses high slopes and the valleys below open into a patchwork of fields and wooded folds.
A broken cloud bank gathers above the right-hand ridge, where tawny grass catches the light. A narrow river winds through the deep valley at left, while hedged fields and dark tree belts spread below. A stone wall and metal fence climb the nearest slope under the rainbow.
The paired summits of Corn Du and Pen y Fan appear beyond the rainbow, seen from the side of Craig Cerrig-gleisiad. A winding river, field patterns and the old wall give the high prospect a grounded sense of place. The brief spell of sun after rain lends a lift to this Welsh upland scene for anyone who enjoys open hill walks.
