Congham, Norfolk’s stream passes beneath a brick arch, lending this shaded village view a settled, unhurried feel beside old brick buildings and leafy trees.
A broad tree canopy hangs over the left side, its leaves framing the blue sky and pale clouds. Two brick buildings stand beside the water, with pitched roofs and small windows visible through the foliage. The stream reflects the buildings and runs under a low stone arch before turning towards the foreground.
This view of Congham, Norfolk brings village buildings close to the water rather than setting them apart from it. The arch and the reflected brickwork give the stream a clear route through the scene.
