At Clatteringshaws Loch, the long far ridge settles the view, while open sky and wide water give the broad scene a calm, unhurried mood.
The loch fills the middle distance, its cool blue surface carrying broken reflections below the far bank. A low ridge runs across the shore, with dark tree lines above muted green slopes. In front, broad granite slabs descend towards the water, edged by small shrubs and bare branches.
Cloud banks gather around a broad cream opening in the blue-grey sky, with softer bands reaching towards the frame edges. Fine grass tufts and dark twigs break across the granite foreground. For visitors, these near-shore details bring Clatteringshaws Loch’s wide view within reach.
