Produced in 1897, this lithographic poster for the Compagnie Française des Chocolats et des Thés displays the characteristic aesthetic of Alphonse Mucha. The composition centres on a maternal figure, dressed in flowing, warm-toned robes, who holds a tray of steaming chocolate. Two children reach towards her, their figures rendered with the soft, rounded forms typical of Mucha's commercial work during his time in Paris.
The background features a deep, atmospheric blue arch, which provides a contrast to the lighter tones of the central figures. Mucha integrates the product packaging into the lower left corner, showing stacks of Chocolat Idéal boxes. The typography is woven into the design, with the brand name arching over the top and the slogan, 'Donne P'tit Maman!', positioned at the base.
