Beschreibung
Chaipaval on Harris stands across calm blue water, its rounded slopes warmed gold beneath low cloud, with rough grass and dark shore rocks catching the soft coastal light.
Also called Ceapabhal, this 368-metre hill stands near Northton at the southwestern end of Harris. A narrow connection of dunes and marsh links its almost island-like mass to the mainland, giving it a position apart from the larger hills farther north.
At Chaipaval, a steep rounded hill rises directly beyond a low shore. Golden grass covers its sunward face, while cool blue shadow deepens the opposite slope. Cream cloud brushes the summit above broad, still water. Rocks and russet plants frame the nearest edge, their warm colours suggesting late summer or early autumn beneath softly glowing coastal skies.
