Beschreibung
A lone stone bothy rests beneath the open hills of the Cape Wrath Trail, its small scale lending the remote mountain view a sense of shelter.
The low building sits in a grassy hollow, with a dark slate roof and pale stone walls set against the rising ground. Beyond it, overlapping ridges climb towards a high peak on the right, while a narrow band of water is visible in the valley.
Bright cloud shadows move across the green slopes and give the distant mountains a cooler tone. The bothy stands apart from roads or nearby settlement in the artwork. For walkers following the Cape Wrath Trail, this contrast between exposed upland and a simple shelter captures the rhythm of a long journey through the north-west Highlands, with the roof anchored below the ridgeline.
