Beschreibung
Cairnsmore of Fleet rounds above a dark forest belt, with grazing cattle, golden fields and warm evening clouds gathering across a broad view of the Galloway hillside and lower valley.
Seen from the west, Cairnsmore of Fleet rises over both wooded and cultivated ground in this view. The outlook gives equal room to the broad hill and the farmed land at its base. Orange light warms the open slopes, while the forest remains deep purple, holding a clear boundary between mountain and foreground pasture.
Small black and white cattle stand in the nearest pasture, separated from the slope by a line of deciduous trees. Beyond them, densely packed conifers form a dark horizontal band. The rounded summit catches amber light above exposed grey patches and long shadows.
