Beschreibung
Buxton in Derbyshire follows a shaded stream through leafy parkland, where a small footbridge, glass-sided pavilion and broad stone arch appear among lawns, flowers and pale town houses.
The River Wye passes through Ashwood Park in this Derbyshire town. The park's waterside setting includes the nearby Hogshaw Lane Viaduct, bringing a substantial stone crossing into the same landscape as open green space, mature trees and the town's built surroundings.
At Buxton, blue-grey water reflects the dark foliage framing its banks. A low bridge with metal rails crosses ahead, beside clipped grass and white flowers. A glazed pavilion stands on the right below slate-roofed houses, while a larger stone arch spans the background. Gentle hill contours and full green leaves suggest soft sunshine in the middle of summer.
