Bull's Head is a work of assemblage created by Pablo Picasso in 1942. The piece consists of a leather bicycle seat and a pair of steel handlebars found by the artist in a pile of scrap metal. By joining these two discarded objects, Picasso created a form that mimics the silhouette of a bull's head. The seat serves as the cranium, while the curved handlebars suggest the horns.
This work is an example of the artist's interest in the transformation of everyday objects through minimal intervention. Picasso often collected discarded items, seeing potential for new meaning in their physical properties.
