At dusk, Llyn y Fan Fach lies beneath the Brecon Beacons / Black Mountain scarp, where the still lake catches the ridge’s dark outline and a wide rose-coloured sky.
A broken line of rock and grass runs along the near shore, and low slopes step up to the high cliff face. Amber light brushes the ground while the water repeats the ridge in a softer, darker band. The reflection blurs where small ripples cross the foreground.
At Llyn y Fan Fach in Carmarthenshire, the Carmarthen Fans rise beyond the water within the Brecon Beacons / Black Mountain area. The scene holds the last colour of evening against a strong dark ridge, offering a calm Welsh mountain setting for anyone drawn to open horizons and quiet light.
