Beschreibung
Ben Oss in Stirling lifts a rugged snowy crest above gold mountain slopes, with grey boulders and a small blue pool beneath high cream clouds on a clear late spring afternoon.
This rugged 1,029 metre Munro stands near Ben Lui in the mountains around Tyndrum. Walkers commonly approach from Dalrigh and combine it with Beinn Dubhchraig. Longer traverses can take in all four Munros of the group, crossing the high ridges between Dalrigh and Glen Lochay.
Ben Oss rises through a long central shoulder towards a broken dark crest with thin white snow ribbons. Gold and green flanks descend into a broad hollow, where a small blue pool lies below the gullies. Grey angular blocks scatter across the near heath. High cream clouds and lingering snow suggest clear late spring afternoon light over the mountain.
