Beschreibung
Beinn Spionnaidh in the far northern Highlands carries a clean green ridge towards a rounded summit, its shaded rock faces set above distant blue water and broad Sutherland horizons.
Beinn Spionnaidh stands west of Loch Eriboll in Sutherland and reaches 773 metres. This Corbett is Britain’s most northerly mountain. Its long whaleback summit runs from southwest to northeast, with loose broken quartzite covering the high ground and steeper spurs descending towards the surrounding coast.
The view follows a rising crest towards a broad rounded top, with dark crags dropping away on the right. Short grass glows yellow green between grey outcrops, while heather and larger stones occupy the near ground. Pale blue water appears on either side of the mountain beyond the lower shoulders. Large white clouds leave the ridge in strong sunshine, suggesting a bright summer spell.
