Beschreibung
Beinn Mhanach rises above a Highland loch, its layered mountain slopes meeting still water beneath a glowing evening sky, beneath the layered Highland clouds.
The mountain fills the background, with a pale summit catching the last light above darker lower ridges. A loch lies across the centre, reflecting bands of peach and blue from the sky. On the near bank, heather and rough grasses descend towards the water. The view is framed by low slopes on either side, keeping the mountain and loch joined in a single broad scene.
For those who have travelled through this part of the Highlands, Beinn Mhanach’s changing outline is closely tied to the open glens and quiet lochs around it. The reflection holds the colours of the evening above, while the rough heathered bank brings the view back to ground.
