Beinn Heasgarnich fills the horizon with a snow-dusted summit, glowing above layered autumn slopes at sunset in this illustrated view in this illustrated view.
The mountain’s pale upper face rises above dark ridges and bands of russet vegetation. A warm orange sky sits behind the summit, and a low cloud rests along one slope. Green and brown ground covers the foreground, with a stream or narrow track cutting through it. The layers draw the eye from the valley to the high peak.
Beinn Heasgarnich stands among the hills of central Scotland, and this view places its summit above the changing colours of the lower ground. The snow and sunset light make the upper slopes distinct from the darker ridges below. Local walkers may the scene recalls the late-day shift in colour across the hills.
