Beinn Alligin - Sgurr Mor in the Highland northwest draws the eye along a sharp rocky crest, where scattered blue lochans and sunlit ledges emphasise the height of Torridon.
North of Loch Torridon, Beinn Alligin has two summits that qualify as Munros. Sgùrr Mòr is the higher at 986 metres, above Tom na Gruagaich at 922 metres. The mountain is also known for a deep cleft left by a major rock avalanche.
The view of Beinn Alligin - Sgurr Mor begins among pale boulders that give way to an undulating ridge with deeply shaded flanks. Small pools catch the blue of the sky far below on the left. Beyond the nearest crest, a larger craggy shoulder dominates the middle distance, while successive mountain ranges fade towards the horizon beneath broad white clouds. The bare ground and yellow grass suggest a bright, dry spell.
