Bassett’s converted farm buildings sit beneath a sweeping blue sky, giving this quiet Southampton scene the easy, sunlit feel of a country lane on a summer afternoon.
A pale lane enters from the lower edge and bends past a red brick building with a dark pitched roof. A smaller, pale outbuilding stands beside it, partly screened by hedges. Dense trees rise behind the roofs, while a tall trunk and branching canopy frame the left side. Long cream clouds cross the open blue above.
For anyone who knows this part of Southampton, the converted buildings and curving approach give Bassett a recognisable local character. The lane leads the view towards the former farm buildings, with grass and tree shade edging its course. Even a short walk through a familiar neighbourhood can turn on details like the roofline against the trees and the light falling across the road.
