This specific work captures a nocturnal scene in the capital, featuring the iconic Kyōbashi Bridge under the glow of a full moon. The composition utilises a strong vertical orientation, drawing the eye from the foreground boatman to the elevated bridge where figures traverse the span.

Hiroshige employs a sophisticated colour palette, relying on deep indigo and charcoal tones to establish the atmosphere of night. The contrast between the dark, silhouetted structures of the bridge and the pale, luminous moon creates a sense of stillness.
