Beskrivning
The West Highland Line train route runs 95 miles from Crianlarich to Mallaig via Fort William, crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland’s western Highlands.
A blue train follows the curve of the Glenfinnan Viaduct, its carriages set above a row of broad stone arches. Below them, grass and trees fill the valley. A loch and several ridges fade into the distance, while broad clouds cross the blue sky above the Highland landscape.
The West Highland Line runs 95 miles (153 km) from Crianlarich to Mallaig via Fort William. The railway crosses Glenfinnan Viaduct about 100 feet above ground. Beyond Fort William, the line continues to Mallaig through the western Highlands, where mountain country and lochs shape the route.
